Who was Rohit Shekhar?
Rohit Shekhar, 40, was the son of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Narayan Dutt Tiwari. He was said to have died due to cardiac arrest, but post-mortem reports revealed that it was an “unnatural death”. He had fought a long legal battle to clear that he was Narayan Dutt Tiwari’s son.
What is the whole case?
Now after the disclosure of murder in the death of Rohit Shekhar, the investigation team has reached out Rohit Shekhar’s family. Delhi Police Crime Branch reached Rohit’s residence in Defence Colony, where Rohit’s mother, wife, and his father-in-law are being interrogated. Apart from these, Rohit’s brother and servants are also being questioned.
The Post-Mortem reports declared that his death has been done by pressing him, after which the murder case was registered. According to sources, Rohit Shekhar’s wife is the first suspect in this case. Rohit’s brother Siddharth, who used to live in the same house, was found in the house at the time of execution. The investigation team is investigating all call records of his wife Apurva. All the family members were present in the house at the time of the murder. Call details of everyone are being investigated.
According to Shekhar’s post-mortem reports, his death was a hindrance in the neck, and mouth was pressed due to which he could not breathe. Reports say that the time of his death is around 1:30 p.m. on April 15, while Rohit was taken to the hospital on April 16 at 5. This means that he was dead in his house for about 15 hours. The investigation team is exploring footages of 7 CCTV camera that were installed in this house.
