DCs predicted XI against MIs – Rishabh Pant could lead his squad

Today on Thursday, all eyes will be on Rishabh Pant when Delhi Capitals take on Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019. The match will be held on DCs home-ground i.e. Feroz Shah Kotla, New Delhi on Thursday. R. Pant will be playing his first match after not being selected for World Cup 2019 squad and Dinesh Karthik being favoured over him.

There are high chances that Pant would come out as a leader for Delhi Capitals in the absence of Shreyas Iyer. Shreyas Iyer was hit on his right arm during the training session. With 10 points from 8 games, both the teams are having a good chance to make it to the playoffs.

While Delhi Capitals has not made it to the top-4 since 2012, team mentors Ricky Ponting and Saurav Ganguly have managed to instill the belief in the team member which is visible on the ground. The team now seems to believe that it can win the trophy after a long spell.

“It’s been a good season for us. Our team is strong and is a balanced side with the overseas and Indian players. Our coaches have instilled a great belief in us, and at the same time, young boys in the team are getting mature”, said senior player Shikhar Dhawan.
